Summary and Analysis
Escalante a computer teacher go to a new school to be a teacher. To his surprise, the school has no computers and he has to teach mathematics. The students in the school are no-hoped and recalcitrant. No one has ideas to teach them. They fight and don’t study. But Escalante has the different way to teach. He teaches them with heart to heart and also a strong hand. Then they all pass the difficult test. Unfortunately, others think they are cheating. At last they do the test again and all get high grade. The school also gets money to buy some computers.
Relation to Case Study
Escalante is a different teacher. He love students just like his kids. He always plays with his students. Although his students are no-hoped at first, but his different methods change their ideas, and then they start to work had because the find fun in study. But in the case study, Mei's professor is less good than Escalante. He doesn't take more time to communicate with her. Mei has no confident and interest to study. At last, she fails in the course. So I think the teacher is really important to our students.
Reaction to Film
Teacher is a sacred occupation. They use his all life for the education. Sometimes they use just one class to change a person’s whole life. They stand and deliver knowledge to students. We should respect our teachers, because we know this occupation is difficult to do. In conclusion, I want to say is that a good teacher can influence a person’s life.
